How did we get here?

Hey!

I’m Bryndis, a 19 year old Australian university student, obsessed with culture, literature and travel!

So who's boots? Boots is an abbreviation of an unfortunate childhood nickname: bossy boots bryndis.

I’m the cliche university dropout who has no direction for their life… so I guess I'll meet a British man and travel the world with him. Yeah, that sounds like a completely normal life altering decision to make.

After finishing high school I faced the dreaded ‘life determining decisions’ with the rest of my cohort.

I enrolled in a journalism and politics degree, thinking it would satisfy my curiosity. However ironically it was a little too political for me and apparently you don't need a degree to be a journalist anymore?

So after finishing my first year of university and feeling hopeless, I booked a volunteering trip to Fiji.

I ‘lived like a local’ for a month, teaching in the town’s schools and running sports programs in villages. While on this adventure, I met a football-crazed Englishman whom I couldn’t quite shake, so to my parents surprise I brought him home with me!

Eddie and I have spent the first chapter of our relationship travelling and living in Australia before we begin our next chapter: Edward and Bryndis worldwide!

Now I have ditched the lecture halls for the global classroom. I'll be studying my new degree in International Relations remotely and sharing my vexations and triumphs with you along the way!

Eddie and I will be travelling on a budget using a combination of hostels, hotels and homestays; aiming to experience as many cultures, countries and continents as possible. All the while working odd jobs, attending online university and sharing our adventures with our community!
